Implant Retained Dentures

Implant retained overdentures are a complete revolution in itself. Well fitting dentures can even be retrofitted to be seated over implants place in the boney (alveolar) ridge. The implant does take time to heal as do the other implants. The difference in stability of the implant retained denture and a traditional denture is completely different. The lower (madibular) lower arch generally seems to have less bone and therefore a traditional denture would continue to slide around in the mouth and possibly become dislodged during speaking for eating.
