Dr. Kristen Veltema grew up in Hastings, MI and, after spending several years away to pursue her career as a general dentist; she has come back to West Michigan where she lives with her husband and three children. She is excited to be serving the dental needs of the people of Hudsonville and surrounding communities. She loves creating lasting relationships, improving smiles, working with children, and providing comfort.

Dr. Kristen strongly believes in treating each patient as an individual and tailoring treatment to meet his or her needs. She believes in comprehensive dental care which includes thorough exams and attention to detail so that each patient can be aware of his or her oral health and the options that he or she has to improve or maintain it.
Kristen enjoys spending time with family, many outdoor activities, and giving back to the community whenever possible.

Kathy comes to Blue Water Dentistry with many years of dental experience.  She has a Bachelor’s degree from Cornerstone University and is originally from New Jersey.  Her focus is to help the patients at Blue Water Dentistry accomplish their dental goals both personally and financially.  She works with the insurance industry to optimize benefits, as well as working with each patient to make treatment affordable.   

 Kathy is married with 3 grown children who are all musicians.  She also has 3 grandchildren who live in Texas.  When she’s not visiting them, she is attending musical events or plays. 

Amanda has over 20 years of experience in the dental field, seven years as an assistant and 15 years as a dental hygienist.  After receiving her degree from GRCC, her primary focus has been to improve patients' oral health based on their individual needs.  Attending continuing education to keep up with the latest trends in dentistry is a priority for Amanda.

Amanda is married and has one child.  She and her family enjoy spending time in the outdoors and exploring Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Megan joined the Blue Water Team in 2018.  She comes with several years of experience and really enjoys making patients feel confident about their smiles.  

Megan is married and has three daughters.  She loves the beach and enjoys spending time with her family.

Taylor joined the Blue Water Team in 2021 as a graduate from Grand Rapids Community College.  Her enthusiasm towards helping patients with their dental health is really impressive and her patients take notice.  Taylor is also a mom to a daughter and a son.  She enjoys the outside and spending time with her family.

Holley is a West Michigan native and has enjoyed the field of dentistry for many years as a dental assistant.  The continuous changes in dentistry, from updated techniques and technology, keep her job interesting and she loves that she is always learning.  The industry continues to find new ways to manage procedures and make patients comfortable throughout their dental experience.  Holley loves assisting patients in the completion of their dental goals and finding confidence in their smile.

Holley has found a new intrigue with health and fitness and loves working out daily.  She lives in the Zeeland area with her husband. They have 3 grown children; two sons and one daughter.

Holley has a granddaughter who lights up her world!

Holley's also loves her dogs; Harlee & Porter!

Sara joined the Blue Water Team in 2020.  She comes with over 20 years of experience as an orthodontic dental assistant.  Sara is married and has two children.  Her family loves to spend time at the Silver Lake Dunes!

Erin grew up in Dorr, MI and began her career in dental hygiene after graduating from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2017. Erin's favorite role she plays in dentistry is helping patients that are fearful of the dentist become more comfortable in the chair and remain comfortable for visits to come. 

Erin says she can spend hours listening to music in her garage while drawing and painting. She loves running, biking, and visiting with friends. Erin and her boyfriend have a pitbull named Tank and a pug named Oaklyn. They love spending their weekends at her and her dad's cabin in the UP. 

Eleyna joined the Blue Water Dentistry team in May of 2023. She comes from a background in health care and has a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University. She enjoys working with patients to ensure they accomplish their dental goals so they can work towards improving their oral health. She is looking forward to learning so much more about the dental field as it changes and improves day to day.

Eleyna's free time is spent reading mystery novels, spending time with her nieces, and playing games competitively with her friends and family. 

Hannah joined the Blue Water team in 2024. Hannah enjoys making relationships with patients. Hannah's favorite part of her job is making patients feel comfortable with their treatment plans and helping ease their fear of the dentist chair. Hannah lives in Jenison with her husband. She enjoys reading, running, and relaxing by the pool.
